CLUB ARRIVAL/DINING PROTOCOLS

Arrival. Please arrive between 1200 -1225hrs and observe
any of the Hotel’s COVID requirements.
If coats are to be removed they can be left safely in the Cloakroom on the
right of Reception on your way to the Main Bar or Dining Room.
Booking In & Paying. Next, please book in at the
main bar by giving your name and drinks order to the bar staff who will also
take your payment for your lunch + any pre-lunch drinks.
Room. Once you have your drinks, BUT PLEASE NOT BEFORE 1200 hrs, to give time for room preparation, please proceed directly to the designated dining room and collect your Meal tags immediately on entering and use these tags to ‘reserve’ your place on un-‘Reserved’ tables to leave you free to walk about and meet/greet others; something that is encouraged. It is not generally acceptable to use any other means/object to reserve a place/chair/table. However, if groups know they will be meeting up please ask Admin@ in advance to reserve a table of up to 6 places in your name to save moving chairs on the day.
Seated by.
The meal will normally be served at 1245 (sharp). To allow time for welcomes/notices
etc and to take the Toast to Absent Friends’ and other Toasts/Grace
at the Host’s discretion..
….. please be seated by 1235.
Complaints. Any problems with your
meal on the day need to be brought immediately to the attention of the serving
staff and then to the Host (or Admin) to note/resolve. Also, please follow
up with an email to Lunch@ with specific details afterwards for the record.

5 Min Speakers Needed. Please let Admin@
know if you are up for a 5 min chat & possibly (but not mandatory) to
host the lunch at which you deliver your ‘chat’ that
can be about anything.
Potential Club Diners. The Club is
open only to all local retired or semi-retired business people and the widows
of all Probus Club members.
Cancellations before the return deadline will not
be charged. Those cancelling via Lunch@ or Admin@ after that date may still
be charged if the Hotel is unable to reuse the food ordered (as is usually
the case when courses are cooked/assembled in individual portions).
If cancelling on the day, you will need to phone or
text 07713 321526 as early as possible to prevent the meal being cooked. Please
do not notify Slepe Hall of cancellations/additions unless all else has failed.
